helping others

Good afternoon my readers! I hope everyone is having a good day today or evening. So as I sit at work right now I'm thinking about how we all likely do something for ourselves. Either it's going for a walk, shopping, etc. But have you noticed how you feel afterwards? I sometimes feel good because my mind is telling me you did that. And sometimes I feel bad because I should be helping others. There is a balance but you have to be able to put that balance into practice. At some point you have to say to yourself that you are not the only one. Sure there is doubt when you start to do this but you start to notice a change in how you feel and how you carry yourself. You are more than what others think. Show them what you can do.  Challenge: for 30 days volunteer your time to an organization in your area and write how you felt Question of the day: When was the last time you did something for others without having to think about it?

Rest, Girl review

Hello my readers, So I just finished another book. This one is called rest, girl written by Jami Amerine. I give this book four stars because she talks mostly about herself and her family which is fine but I would have liked it better if she gave more tips. She uses a lot of scripture which is great. I love that it is a Christian book. The font is big enough to read which is helpful as well. I wouldn't rush to read her other books but that's just me. I hope this helped. My next review will be soon.

wonder

It's so amazing when you take a step back and look at things with a clear head. I was at church this morning and I cried to a worship song that I love and I felt peace come over me. I try to do what is right but at the same time I need to take care of myself too. I'm challenging myself to do more YouTube videos about books and read them. I'm also going to challenge myself to slow down and do some meditation. I hope to see some change but it's super important that I stick to it. So starting tomorrow morning I will start my challenge and see what happens.

My day

So today I spent the day with my dad at Tarpon Springs.  If you haven't been there you must go and visit for the day.  Some of the things you can do are shopping, eating at the wonderful restaurants, and taking a cruise to see dolphins.  One of my favorite restaurants is Costas which is off the main road.   Another really cool thing to visit is the St.Michael's shrine. It is so pretty on the inside. But I will tell you that it is small. It is in a neighborhood but it does have parking. It is also free to go and see it.  There are bars to eat at like Anclote Brew which has amazing food and drinks.  You do have to pay for parking for the day. But it is worth it.  I suggest that you get there early in the week. I was there today and it wasn't crowded. Another tip is that you go online and look at what time the businesses open and close so you can plan your day.  So I hope you are able to visit this wonderful place.

Opportunities

Hello my readers! I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Today's topic is something that I would love to talk about so let's start.  Opportunities are a wonderful thing to experience because I find that when they come up you can either take it and run with it or you can run away from it.  I have an amazing opportunity to do a book review with a book club next month and I can't wait to do this. My other ones deal with my church and I can't wait for those either.  We as humans have so many opportunities in our lives and I really think that we should take them even if we get scared.  I hope that everyone has an amazing opportunity come their way soon. Question of the day: What are your top five favorite opportunities that have come your way?

Affirmations

Hello my readers!  Happy Sunday. I hope everyone had a great weekend and that you got a lot done on your to do lists.  This evening I would like to talk about affirmations.  So, what is the definition of affirmation? The dictionary has five definitions! 1. The act or an instance of affirming; state of being affirmed.  2. The assertion that something exists or is true. 3. Something that is affirmed; a statement or proposition that is declared to be true. 4. Confirmation or ratification of the truth or validity of a prior judgment, decision, etc. 5. A solemn declaration accepted instead of a statement under oath. I find that this word is used so much these days that we need to take the time to learn more about it. The origin of the word is Latin and it came about in 1535-1545.  I see all over social media how we need to have an affirmation board and just repeat it each day and I think that this is a great idea but at the same time we also don't want to becom...

Review of Dinner at the Beach House Hotel

Hello my readers and Happy March 3rd!  I hope everyone is having a good day. So here is my review for Dinner at the Beach House Hotel written by: Judith Keim I am grading this book a B, because I felt that the author could have done better describing Florida. I understand she lives in Idaho.  This book I read out of order as this is book 3 in the series. So maybe I will give book 1 a try and see if I like that one.  You meet a lot of good characters in this book. I will not give any spoilers away but there is a chapter that describes a bad accident with one of the main characters in this book.  I would like to read more of her books and see what I think about them. This book in particular is very well written and you start to feel like you are with the characters every step of the way.  I do have a favorite character and that is Trudy the dog. I feel like she should have her own book series.  This author does both self-publish and she goes through a p...
