Something better is coming from this

Hello readers! So you must be wondering what this topic means. So I will tell you. I chose this title because of a sermon I am listening to. I started to challenge myself by saying this today when I got up this morning.  I know that bad things happen but what if we declare this? What if we look into a mirror each morning and say it? What if we wrote it down and said it on our low days? I think that if we do then we can feel a change in ourselves. I'm not saying that change will happen the next day but if you say it out loud and write it down then maybe you will feel it.  I also found that it helped listening to the sermon. I love the pastor who talked about it. He makes you feel like it will happen if YOU declare it each day.  The pastor is Steven Furtick and his sermons are amazing.  I ask you to give them a chance and see what happens when you listen to them and when you take notes.  I will pray for all of you.  SOMETHING BETTER IS COMING FROM THIS!...

Plunder

Happy Monday readers! I am sitting in my living room listening to Sunday's church sermon called Something good is coming from this! As I listen to this sermon for the second time I begin to feel like this is so true! We all think when or if but we never declare it. So, today I am saying "Something good is coming from this" each morning. I even feel better for saying it and it also helps when I listen to the sermon again. The pastor I am listening to is Pastor Steven Furtick. He is so good. I love his sermons.  So, it's time to talk about the topic of the day. Plunder.  When we hear the word plunder we think of pirates. But what does the word mean?  Plunder: To rob of goods or valuables by open force, as in war, hostile raids, brigandage, etc: Another definition is: to rob, despoil, or fleece. 3. to take wrongfully, as by pillage, robbery, or fraud. The verb is: to take plunder, pillage So, how can we use this word for ourselves?  We can plunder our minds from t...

Your word

As I sit on my couch thinking about next year I wonder what my word is going to be. I know this sounds weird but I think everyone should have a word to live by. I got the idea from my bible study group. I picked two words and I am going to make a word board which is different from a vision board. I can't wait to start working on this as soon as I can.  I feel that this could be a good thing for me in that I have never really thought about my two words for next year until now. It took a group of wonderful women who are in my church egroup to really make me think about this.  I can't begin to imagine how I am growing personally and spiritually now that I am making a word board. I feel super excited about this.  So, my two words are: Strong and Confident Two powerful words for me to use for next year. The ladies in my group have powerful words as well. I feel so renewed just by talking about this.  So my readers what words are you going to use for next year?  I can...

Organization

Hello my readers! I'm so sorry for posting for a while I have been busy with work and getting my new home put together. So as you can see today's topic is organization. Now, I'm not going to lie I can be really bad at this topic. So why am I writing about this then? Well, I'm writing about this topic because I feel that everyone has a way of doing this.  Also, I'm writing about this is because I feel like I can add to this.  So, let's begin.  The way I organize things is by going to the local dollar store and getting containers to organize my pantry. I also get those square cloth containers to put in my linen closet to organize the sheets to dish towels. That way I have room for other products like cleaning products.  I also have in my living room a file for mail. One section is for going and the other is for coming.  I also have a dry erase calendar on my fridge as well as a dry erase board for miscellaneous things.  For my books I use an app called ...

history

Image
Hello my readers.  Today I will write about a topic that needs to be discussed.  As I sit at my university museum about the history of Alaska. I think about how we treat people from different cultures. What I find most heartbreaking is how we never stop and learn from them.  Is history repeating itself today? I think so.  For example I was looking at an exhibit about Alaska and world War 2. And how the government forced native Alaskans from their home.  Now you can say we'll another group was trying to take control and the government didn't want that but if you think about from the perspective of the people being forced to leave their home it's really hard to communicate that feeling. Here you are living where your ancestors have lived for thousands of years and now you are told to pack what you can carry and never come back. Sad and scary. But we as a human race must stop and start to learn from each other before we act.  I will never understand why we act...

Changes

Hello my readers! I hope everyone is doing well.  Today's topic is changes and what that means to us. We all know change happens each and everyday. But what do we do when we experience a negative change?  Well, I would hope that you would take a step back and breathe before doing anything that might harm you or someone else. I try to talk to someone who I trust when something bad happens to me.  But, keep in mind that not all change is negative it can be positive as well.  For me it was finally meeting the person of my dreams and we are now getting married.  We should all be glad to experience positive changes in our lives. And we should celebrate them.  We as a community should work towards positively changing things that are negative. Now you must be wondering how. Well, the first step is to accept that the negative change needs work. Then we should talk about how we can make it a positive impact. Not everyone will be open to this and that's ok. Just try ...

Feelings

Hello my readers! I hope you are having a good new year so far. So let's talk about today's topic. Feelings. We all have them and some of us show them and some don't.  But what do you do when they get all mixed-up?  I try to take deep breaths and try to make it easier for me to understand. Is it easy? No. But you have to take a break sometimes just to think things through. And maybe then you will find what you are looking for.  I'm going through that right now. But I have to remind myself that this to shall pass. And that it's not worth losing any sleep.  So yes the road of feelings is a challenge but you can over come it. You can see through the negative feelings that you are having. You are not alone.  I hope you are having a good day and keep on smiling. Question of the day: What are you feeling right now? Challenge of the day:  Write down your feelings in a journal and see how you feel afterwards.
