Libraries

Good morning readers! Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I have been busy managing my health this past year.

SO.... today's topic is libraries.  Why are they open? Well, they  are open because people use them to look for jobs, check out books, and they go to programs at their local library.

Why should they be open? Because people also use their computers to do school work, banking, and looking into their family tree.

Libraries are so important to those who don't have internet access at home or who can't afford to go to a book store and by a lot of books. They also go to the programs because they are free and can be educational. For parents with small kids there are things to do during the summer months when school is out for their kids to do.

I love going to my local library because I feel like the outside world can't harm you mentally. Which is way I like to get a lot of books to read because it's an escape for me. It's also an escape for people who just don't want to deal with things. We shouldn't look down on those who love to read because it's those who love to read that see the most and learn the most. Yes, going to school is important but you learn a lot more if you read. I feel bad for those who don't read because they are missing out on a lot. When you read you have a TV in your head and you can see in your mind what the people in the book are doing and what they look like.

Did you know that at my library they have an art gallery showing local artists? Which is super cool because the art work is wonderful to look at. They also have classes that teach English to those who can't speak it every well. They also do contests to see how many books you can read and you get a prize.

Libraries are important for our senior citizens because they have classes on health care, social security, and other important classes that they might want to take and learn about.

So my readers here is a tip from me to you. Go to your local library and see what it is all about. Go to a program that looks cool to you and check out a book that catches your eye and go from there. You will feel better knowing that you made a great choice.

Question of the day: Have you ever gone to a library? If so what did you think about it?

Challenge of the day: Go to your local library for one month and do two programs that you like.
